Over the last four years, US taxpayers have spent an estimated $949 million in aid to the DRC.
In a country that is currently ranked last out of 187 countries on the United Nations Human Development Index, continuing aid is desperately needed. However, without effective, transparent and accountable governance in the DRC, that money will go to waste.
The upcoming elections could be a critical turning point for the Congolese people, but only if they are free, fair and peaceful.
Please take action today. Contact your representatives and ask them to ensure that the full weight of the US government is standing behind the Congolese people when they go to the polls on November 28th.
